They're making new a sprint run in brown g10. Definitely looking forward to that. Such a nice looking design.
 
In the 2013 catalog they show a C54P with full (hopefully skeletonized) liners and Swiss cheese...excuse me, I mean holes for four way clip positioning, and G-10 scales. It will be interesting to see what it sells for.

Talking direct sales, its MSRP is only $25 more than that of the G10/VG10 Caly 3.5, which seems quite reasonable IMO

But yeah, it definitely won't be as nice looking as the older version

If it street will be only about $20 more than Caly3.5, that would be great and I most likely would get one. Still in my opinion micarta looks much nicer than plee-ply G10. I remember many comments that micarta is not preferred scale material for several reasons, but polished G10 would look much better, especially on Calypso, which IIRC was design as a gents knife.
This knife certainly can became one of highlights of 2013.

I get that people don't like the looks, but as someone who carries LH, all the extra holes are a big part of why I keep coming back to Spyderco.
 
140 Isn't bad at all. I do agree it would be better looking with micarta or smooth g10 like Roman suggested but the peel ply g10 is just fine by me. I ust want to try out the design.
