Micarta family is complete

I agree about the look of the 25 micarta. I was also one of the 'haters' when the pics first showed up. Eventually, it did grow on me though. I ended up needing to have one and I am glad that I was fortunate enough to get one. It looks and feels a LOT better in person.
 
My micarta family was getting there brother but, even though the small standard micarta is pending funds, it has been sweet having micarta options. Going for a large micarta DT next.

I predict you will like that one. Any thoughts on which pattern you are after? I dont think you can really go wrong, but some are more variable than others.

Im sure you will share photos when it happens. What is the current backlog on DT, anyway?

I will definitely post pics (better than this one) but it will be a while for a couple of reasons. First, like you mentioned, the backlog. I called in and spoke to Angela about 3 months ago and she said there was a 9 month back order. Assuming it hasn't been pushed back further, we're pretty close now. Also need to put some time+money into my car so I should be ready by the time they are available again.

Part of me wants to score the Basket Weave one you have, and the other part is just open to trying any of the 3 currently available options. I like the way Ladder wears in and have always been very happy with my knife's particular pattern, so I'd even do that again.

Nice choice! That should be a peach.

Harris, I think you would like any of them, but the raindrop seems to be the most variable. I would have to look at a few probably before I found one I *really* liked. The baskets seem to always have a nice tight pattern and the ladders are somewhere between the other two in terms of consistency (from what I have seen). None look bad, but some look better than others depending on what you are after;)

That's actually why I like Ladder so much. The pattern has the typically rigid, tightly packed folds, some loose folds, and the few ellipses of folds between the others that vary. Very good looking pattern imo.
