Micarta For Liners?

Hey all! I have a beautiful piece of cocobola I wanted to use for scales, but it's a bit too skinny. A simple thin liner would do the trick. I have heard tons of people use G10 and what not for liners, but how bout micarta? Has anyone had any issues with this or is it ok?
 
There's no reason it wouldn't... you just have to find it in thin enough sizes. G10 is much more available in liner thicknesses.
 
I use micarta liners all the time. You can get it at McMaster-Carr. Its called Garolite there. You can only get natural though.
