Micarta / G10 Quality

I’ve had different experiences with G-10 from the same manufacturer. For example my 0350s feel softer and have more grip than the 0452G10. My guess is that is because the 0350 has a flat handle surface, while the 0452 has a more curved handle, not sure. Don’t have any experience w/micarta tho.
 
I find a new, out of the box, Hinderer G10 almost perfect.

Emerson’s G10 is milled/machined very well but takes time to smooth out from what I gather. In other words it’s rough, but very well done.
