Hi all.
I don't post too often in this forum, but i have been on a mission the last couple of months to find a GEC 42 or 72 in black canvas micarta. no luck ... yet.

if you're willing, i would love to see pics of your GEC knives in micarta (any). i have seen some GEC's in "goldenrod micarta" and wow...fantastic.

thanks guys.

I just recently received my 66 serpentine jack in black canvas micarta. Will snap a photo in the morning.

Here's a few I have, by #. I prefer the canvas micartas to paper. GEC has used micarta more than they had in the past, I just hope they use it in the patterns I like.

#45 Lumber Jack, tan canvas

#48 Templar, black paper

#48 Slimline rehandle in black canvas

#53 Cuban Stockman rehandle in green canvas

#66 Serpentine Jack and Calf Roper in black paper

#73 Scout Trapper in black paper

#73 Scout Trapper in goldenrod micarta

#73 Scout Trapper rehandle in denim micarta

H23 and H73 in black canvas

If the Bullnose does anything for you, it is about to sneak out of the factory in both OD Linen and Canvas micarta.

I bought a 42 thinking it was a 72, the seller must've put the wrong info on the description but looking back at pics, you can clearly see the 42xxxxx stamp on the blade. Traded it the same day to a buddy here that haunts the Wilderness forum. Very nice knife, no fault of the seller, I have been hunting for a 72 though, already had a 42 with nice jigged bone scales.

I can't believe I forgot these, even with the #15 sitting right in front of me...

#13 Congress Jack white paper

#15 STR Electrician's Knife in green linen

Interesting... I'd like to see GEC do this on a single blade #73 or even #23.

Ouch, that's gonna hurt...; ( After getting Steve's "STREK" I've fallen hard for that green linen micarta. My black Bullnose won't be happy.

I have this 42 in canvas along with his little brother the 72. The texture really comes alive with a good cleaning. That's what I was trying to show here. Top is dirty. Bottom is clean.
