Is it just the pics, or are the pivots also OD on those micarta 71s? Edit: It appears that the knives aren't finished in the picture. On another site the blades have the bullnose etch and the pivot is silver.

And you ruffians are costing me money. Just ordered a micarta bullnose. Dag nabbit!!

Here's my #85 Tidioute in goldenrod micarta:

I remember when it came out, I couldn't wait to order one!

That's one nice looking knife. I keep eyeballing one of those, and have gotten as far as putting it in my cart a couple of times now. I'm kinda hoping someone else will just go ahead and buy it, and remove the temptation. lol

Their black linen micarta is very smooth. It takes pretty strong light to see the grain.

I have two Micarta #72's - one in black canvas, and the other in black linen (canvas is on bottom) - love 'em both!!

Here they are in direct sunlight -- you can really see the difference in texture (canvas is on top and much courser than the finer linen):

GEC #71, before removing the etch and sanding the micarta a bit more to roughen it up a bit.

Love the micarta GECs. Had a 72 linen prior to these two, sold it, regretted it, and luckily found these two.
