Micarta handles

I went with Green from Tomars on the BK2. Killer looks, great grip,I'll never go back.

Tung oiling, huh? How does that feel when it is done?

Grippy. Not really any different feel than before I applied the oil. Just made the scales much darker than the dye alone. I only went to 150 on these scales.

Paper Micarta scales from Saint Cutlery. Love them! Cant compare with Tomar's as I havent checked out his yet.

Got the Becker micarta and love it. Sanded it down and buffed them with compound. Came out good and was really little effort on my part. Like this stuff a lot. Now I have a 7 to do something with as well as a BK11 on the way...

Does Saint Cutlery have a website?

I got mine on the popular auction site mentioned above, and for the first time I can remember, they dont have any available.
Keep checking, they should be back soon.

Order some micarta in the color of our choice from a knife supply house, get your tools, and head for your garage. Make you own the way you want. I made black canvas micarta handles, little diffference between those and the Becker version, except that I can't make a hexagonal hole.
