Micarta in 1/2"

I can only find Micarta in sheets up to 3/8", but I'd like to find a steady source for 1/2". Preferably a simple black or one that's inexpensive like it.

I do realize I can use liners to bump up to desired thickness, and I will in many cases, but for many uses I'd like to keep labor and costs to a minimum. Thanks!

I took a look at the list earlier and only saw up to ~.350" and 1" blocks. Guess I'll call and check if they hold any that are thicker than their standard sheets?

EDIT: Some of their thicker sheets are only in certain colors and get pretty pricey, which isn't exactly what I'm looking for. A no-frills black or something is what I'm seeking.
 
If you plan on using that much, I'd look at a local plastics supplier.

If they stock it, no shipping, and you can get a large amount of material for a fraction of what it would be in small pieces.

See if you can find local branches of Laird plastics , or others


Be sure and ask about minimum charges/orders
 
Long ago....I used to get 1/2" Micarta from Angus Campbell, In L.A.
 
I have a bunch of 12X24 sheets of 1/2" natural I don't want. If you're interested you can send me a PM for details about the grade and cost.
 
Also check Mcmaster-Carr,they have it in 1/2".Search for garolite.

Also compare to Grainger, MSC Direct, Fastenal, and Enco. Prices can vary pretty widely between the different supply houses. See if one of them has a local warehouse you can pick it up at, to save shipping.
