Micarta Monday - Traditional Knives Only, Please

VDIm1sI.jpeg

I don't remember to post in this thread very often. I have few knives with micarta handles, and when they show up rather infrequently in my weekly rotation, I forget that this thread is here.

But today I noticed the thread title on Page 1, and I've been messing around with some knives I ordered on the Fourth of July. They're not in my rotation schedule yet, but today I took a few quick shots of a couple of micarta knives in that newest order so I could "introduce" the knives here.
Both are Rough Ryders, a lockback chef knife with stainless blade and black micarta handle and a blue denim micarta canoe with carbon steel blades (even though the seller's website claimed the blades were stainless). Some of my photos are just me messing around with weird filters.

Not planning to tote it today ... or even this week ...
Marbles MR431 D2 Sowbelly Stockman, with black Micarta covers.
I think this is my only knife equipped with D2 blades. D2 is "okay" ... but I prefer plain ole carbon steel.

I bought it to try the sowbelly stockman pattern, not because of the blade steel.
