  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Micarta Monday - Traditional Knives Only, Please

While our opinions maybe be olive-the-place, it is clear that the choice is up to yew.

Why not keep the muslin as liners, and then have a "bolster" of olive and the bottom of yew?

Actually I don't think that would be a lovely, but it would make use of all the materials.

I like the yew best, personally.

:D Made up my mind now, it's the English Yew for the Bull and Olive for another Muslin Micarta, this time on a 13 Clerk .

Roll on Wooden Wednesday :D Don't get me wrong, I'm usually a big Micarta fan.

Those clubs and barlows are such visually appealing knives. Hard to choose between them or Boker's other single blades like the stockman, or the trapper...
I’m with you on that, probably why I can’t stop buying them, love’em all, probably too much!:D

The day I got it, just out of the box.

Afterwards while oiling and cleaning the joint with some mineral oil I put a drop on the scales as well and it darkened them.
I thought the oiled scales look great but now I think I like the original color better. I'll wash them one of these days. Mineral oil evaporates on its own too so we'll see.
