Really like those! I decided to polish the bolsters on mine as the brushed/glaze effect doesn't contrast with the matte Micarta so well. Great Spear too, but yours doesn't have verdigris on the pins like mine...matchstick time.

Several years ago, as a favor, Ken Erickson and Jerry Halfrich put some new covers on these inexpensive Remingtons with carbon steel blades. I think they did a heck of a job. (I had the pleasure of introducing these two gentlemen to one another as well...but that's another story.)

Once again our cutlery taste is in sync Will.
Probably does look better with polished bolsters, I'd like to see how yours turned out even if it does have a touch of verdigris.
