Thanks for the great replies, very much appreciated.

For anyone wondering how well the stripes are fastened (secured) to the handle?
It's kind of like the firemen in Back-draft movie - When they are holding on to one another and say. "If one goes, we all go!"
So if one comes off, the whole handle is probably off by that time?
And I would have to say - "You were using it wrong!".....:D

I must say these stripers are amazing! I'm a bit partial to my #850, but this one MAY be the best looking one yet
Keep it up, Todd.

Nice! I like it better than the other stripers... a bit more understated colors.

But you have me worried Todd... you only seem to be making stripers nowadays...

I hope you wil still make some folders with nice woods and ivory? :D

Kind regards,

Jos

Mr. Davison,
although I never handled one, I always appreciated your knives, and even if I'm not going to buy a custom knife for the moment, I enjoy browsing this section (guess I'm not the only one) to see new and beautiful knives......and today I admit I entered this section with the only secret hope that there would be one more of your striped micarta knives.
Here it is, and it is obviously awesome. :)

Todd,

I agree that this is your best striper, subdued and with colors that complement each others so well. Of course mine (#746) with African blackwood is understated too. Blackwood is such a wonderful wood-even denser than the ebonies. It typically has a specific gravity above 1 which means it won't float in water. I can't believe that I felt a bit of unease (big purchase for my budget) right after committing to buy it. Once the knife got here and I could handle it, any uncertainty disappeared immediately! Keep up the fine work. You have found a great palette for natural materials (not to mention the excellent workmanship your knives exhibit).

This must set a record for the longest one of Todd's knives has been available, I'm shocked it's still here.

Oh and for the record...I'm slightly partial to the striper in Todd's avatar...dunno why ;) :D

Seriously y'all I got paid today...help me out...someone buy this knife :)

Nathan

I've said it before and I'll say it again...some day, when I grow up, I will have one of your knives Todd.

Boggled that this took so long to sell---once again, I had "I'll Take It" typed out more than a few times. If I didn't have one coming (#768) from a Canadian sale, I would have snapped it up.

Mr. Davison: This may be an out of bounds question, and if so, I'll edit (someone let me know), but hour many hours do you put into each slipjoint folder?
