What is the best way to finish denim micarta?

Sand down to 400 dry then wet sand 600. Buff with green then white. That is if you want a gloss.

But what if you want a rough grippy finish?

Sand to 220 and buff lightly with a dry wheel. Or bead blast with fine grit.
