Michael Bell Wakisashi (Cable)

Oops... my bad. I meant to say 'recurve' ... :) I'm a compound shooter myself. Not good enough to go instinct shooting. :)

If I'm ever in your neck of the woods I'll have to take you to dinner just so I won't feel guilty looking at all the eye candy you have in your possession... ;)

Eric the pleasure would be all mine :)

The Japanese Blade; Form and Function.
Bell is amazing.
Thank you Joe.

To wield any of these blades will show you what hundreds of years of combat has evolved these blades to be at there pinnacle

Thanks for posting. I always enjoy learning something new. I will have to do a little research on Mr. Bell and cable.

A wealth of knowledge and always a pleasure to read. Thanks for this thread Joe. Enjoyed the video as well.

A lot of Japanese blades from the right time period follow suite

I don't know how I missed this, Joe, but I'm sure glad it was bumped back up. Great read and fantastic swords!! I've been working on my first short swords and the learning curve is amazingly steep. Thank you for sharing your expereience! :)

Thanks Shawn

There are mant great knife smiths but swordsmiths are a bit harder to find :)

Who does all the mounting of Bell's swords? It looks very well done and the sayas are exquisitely finished.
