Michael Raymond ~ @ The Fort

I am fortunate enough to own a Raymond with Jigged handle, and it is fantastic. The non-Jigged surfaces are a subtle orange peel-like texture so it doesn't show marks easily. Michael actually hand jigs the surface. Action on mine is "hydraulic," similar to sebenzas. Most solid lock-up of any knife I own. Thought I'd give some additional info for potential buyers. Size is between a small and large sebenza (3 1/4" blade). I believe his wait list is two years.

Very beautiful knife they have here. I actually owned one of his regular models but am now on the wait for a jigged or possibly his new rounded pattern. The one thing that I do not understand is why he did not add the jiging to the clip on the one that you have for sale at the Fort? I'm sure he would do it if you asked him as it makes a world of difference to the overall appearance. One of the only integral knife makers around. Him, Rassenti, and Lochsa. Are the main ones still around, if I recall correctly, and the lockup is amazing. Its a great knife and the timascus additions are beautiful. I'd buy it if I were not on his wait. It is priced very reasonablly as well. Good luck with your sale.

Beautiful Estrella. I handled Locutus' Estrella and the sound it makes on lockup was enough to make me buy one. Whoever snaps this up is a lucky lucky person!
