I hope this is the right place to post this. I don't spend much time here to I'm not real familiar with the forum.

Just thought I would jump over here and let you all know Michael Sylvia struck again under a different username over at BCUSA. Apperently he's using different personal names as well. He's still out there and doing damage so watch yourselves. Don't deal with this guy!!!
I'm sure you all remember him if not jump over and check out the bad trades thread. He ripped some people off here to, and he has no limits.

Unfortunately It was me who it happened to. He rejoined on BCUSA as Westside66 and has been posting some normal post.

I noticed his recent join date and everything seemed normal. Looking back at his post after receiving a mora garberg instead of a Skookum Bush tool he actually played the sorry card on his own scam from previous years.

Seems to have three adults with same LN living with hi recently

Thank you, Fourteeners and Thomas Linton for bringing this to my/our attention. Any light that can be shined on theives and scammers helps to protect our community.

Scammed Wolfsnagel out of Strider SNG Lego in a trade agreement for a Medford 187DP.

Wolfsnagel had replied to several WTT ads and listed knives he had available for trade. Michael Sylvia emailed him and a trade agreement was reached. Wolfsnagel sent his knife to Michael Sylvia and received nothing in return. Michael Sylvia initialy denied making any trade agreement or ever conversing with Wolfsnagel and also stated he had never owned a Medford. Michael Sylvia demanded that Wolfsnagel be banned immediately for slandering his name and claimed he would never return if his demand was not met :rolleyes:. When screen shots of emails were presented that showed Michael Sylvia to be a liar, Michael Sylvia refused to participate in the discussion any longer. Michael Sylvia then had a private discussion with another forum member whose trust he had gained and had that member present to the forum that Michael Sylvia had fallen victim to phishing emails and had been hacked. Then Michael Sylvia was ousted as being a repeat offender that had been banned on another forum for scamming multiple people with multiple accounts. In the end Michael Sylvia chimed in to claim he had never scammed anyone and that he never received a knife from Wolfsnagel, but Michael Sylvia had nothing to say about his blatant lie about making a deal in the first place. Once Michael Sylvia was banned from BladeForums he tried to cover his tracks on another forum by changing the name and location on his account. They gave Michael Sylvia the boot for trying to hide his identity there.

I'm sure Michael Sylvia has resurfaced with all new accounts using different names and it seems that Michael Sylvia has a new mailing address as well. Michael Sylvia seems to be a pathological liar, so watch out for this one.
 
I also just noticed he is an active member at bushcraft.uk and he is currently online as of this moment. User name Knife Craft. If anyone is a member there, spread the word.
 
Well currently I'm told my knife is getting shipped back to me and should be to me on Wednesday. USPS tracking receipt photo included. He might of made a a mistake and realized it. I have been in communication with him somewhat and I'm thankful for that.

I got the knife back!!!

He hasn't posted there since 03/16. Interesting bit, he posted several photos of things he claimed were his on various threads, all were tagged as "Michael Sylvia" on Flikr. If you open the images they're actually posted under one of alias' mentioned above, Jim Prader.

P.S. I sent a PM to the administration of BushcraftUK about this clown.

Just a heads up, this guy is still around, very recently as Knifehunt on ESEE forums, brought up again on Bushcraftusa probably here as well, just has not reared his ugly head..
