Michigan 2013 Fall Gathering

hey guys. sorry, but i'm going to miss this one. i will be backpacking in the Adirondacks that weekend.

Still up in the air as I don't have my son's schedule yet. As long as we don't have to go to St. Louis that weekend I will be there.

Uncle Bill has been working at a crazy pace..he's been out of town for the past three weeks, working through two weekends during that time. He is trying to figure out if he can make it as well.
 
Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Hope all of the core group is still coming.

This years gathering contest will be a carving contest.

Each person attending will find a suitable piece of wood in the forest with which to make a 'shroomin and hiking staff. They are to clean the stick up with a brought knife and embellish it as they see fit. They can work on the staff all weekend up until the voting.

Each person attending will be allowed to cast two votes for the staffs they choose best.

The final round will allow each attendee one vote for the winner.

Ties will be broken by a fight to the death with the staff each contestant made. Or maybe we can figure something else out.

First prize will be a Busse boot knife in Infi steel with black crinkle coating.

Here is your chance to win a Busse knife and attend a great gathering.
