Michigan Bill To Ban Lockblade Pocketknives

It pertains to MULTIBLADED locking blade knives. There are not all that many lockblade knives that are multibladed.
Single bladed locking blade knives are specifically not mentioned.
So, I wonder how they got their shorts on a knot over something like this; STUPID!!!
 
Did your legislators come to my wonderful state for lessons in kneejerk politics? With any luck it will not make it out of committee.
