Just for fun, whats your preferance? Which do you/would you rather EDC? And, just in general which do you like better?

I gotta go with the squirt, although Ive not had EDC experiance with the Micra.

My Micra is always on my keychain so I probably use it more due to accessibility. I usually carry my Squirts (S4, P4, EL) in my pocket but they probably don't get used as much.

It's too early for me to say which I prefer overall. That's because I bought my first Squirt S4 today at Target for about $7 on clearance.

I've carried a Micra for several years and bought one for my wife and my uncle. I carry a knife and a full sized multitool (usually a SOG PowerLock, Leatherman original PST, or SuperTool). My main use for the Micra is its scissors.

The Micra is slightly longer than the S4 and has larger scissors which still work amazingly well after years of use. I've not abused them and only cut paper, plastic, and fingernails. :)

I prefer the Micra's all stainless steel construction to the painted aluminum scales of the S4. On the other hand, accessing the Micra's knife and screwdriver takes extra work and I've cut myself doing it.

The S4's small screwdriver is perfect for tightning tiny eyeglass screws.

I kinda prefer the original Micra. I like it's bigger scissors. I also don't mind the knife blade being inside because I can fold it all out and have a bigger handle to hold on to.

In addition, the screwdrivers are longer in the Micra, an advantage if you are dealing with deeply sunk screws. The Micra has a more useable cap lifter than the one on the Squirt, which can be frustrating.

OTOH, the S4 has better tweezers and because the tools are on the outside of the closed piece, more convenient to use. It has fewer sharp edges, therefore somewhat more hand and pocket friendly and a satisfying finger toy.

Between the two, I prefer the Micra, helped somewhat by the fact that most stores around here sell them for much less. Normally, you can buy 2 Micras for the price of a Squirt at Target. I have bought quite a few for gifts and regardless of whatever else is in my pocket, am never without mine

'Zactly. I have found this as well! I have a Squirt P4 so I can't give a direct comparison. But for a pocket-tool built around a pair of scissors, I don't think you can beat the Micra. I've been EDCing my for awhile now and don't find myself needing anything bigger.

Both are great tools but I prefer the micra over the S4. The micra simply has more robust tools (given they are still incredibly small). Either tool should suit one's needs but the micra just seems to be built just a little bit better.

I very much prefer the Micra. I consider it be a classic in the Leatherman line, and quite possibly the most satisfying Leatherman I have owned. The Squirts have never really "done it" for me. The slipjoints on the Squirts seem very weak to me. The QC has never been very exceptional on any of the Squirts I've handled.
