Micro Knives Keychain Knives Small Pocket Knives Comprehensive List

Damn! We all need to have this thread subscribed (or maybe even stickied and updated yearly even?)

To the OP, thanks for the time and effort!

Alright lady's & gentlemen, there is a new Spyderco that just fits this list :D You already may have heard of it...
Based on the tremendous popularity of the Spyderco Balance, they introduced the Equilibrium. Possessing all the same distinguishing features as the original, it offers them on a larger scale that is even more comfortable in big hands. It measures 3" closed, witch means it has a four finger grip instead of three on the slightly smaller Balance...

Well, actually it measures 3" 1/20 (78mm) so I was thinking of bringing the 3" limit to a final 3" 1/8 (80mm). This means another 22 beauty's are added to the the continues growing little knife list :D

If you know any knife that fits in this new criteria, well bring it on and share it with us

Edit: one could also take a look here for knife links, prices and many more pics...

Viper Slim.
It doesn't say the handle length, but by subtracting the blade length from the OAL, you can see it's right under 3".

There's also the Mcusta Turo, which while out of production, (I couldn't find it on Mcusta's website,) is still widely available.

I love this thread. I have always had a thing for small folders. It would be great to see how many of these are TSA OK in April 2013. I have a few of the AG Russell 2.5" titaniaum lockbacks and an Ultimate Pen knife on the way for future travel.
A few of those Maserin knives look interesting.

I also just found out about these Consigli Happy Blades and Key Blades, (very unique BTW, worth checking out,) though I can't find any info on them anywhere other than the manufacturer's web site.

Thank you Dan57 for the links. I very much like the Key Blades in horn. Very unique indeed.

I just set the bar a little higher what the maximum handle length concerns and for what has still to be considered a small pocket knife.

The handle definitely needs to be fitting in the palm of your hand and cannot be wider or stick out (by that I mean when you lay it closed in your palm). My hand width measures about 3" 1/4 (83mm) at where my fingers start and about 3" 3/8 (86mm) a bit lower at the palm. I'm very much aware that some hands are bigger or smaller than others, still I find this is the 'sweet spot' for setting a limit to my list.

So now 3" 3/8 (86mm) will be the size limit for a small pocket knife (about the same size a a mid-size Victorinox)!

This also means ALLOT of knives can be added in the couple of days/weeks/months and I most definitely could use YOUR help with that.

I'll start off with the 'biggest one' in the lineup and then I'll take a break for a couple of days (perhaps weeks as my head is spinning and I also need to work)

Edit: it could very well be that I'll create a separate marker (or category) on the list for the so called "Little Big Knives"
