Micro-Mesh worth the price?

we use the micro mesh at work for polishing aircraft windows and final sand before polish on cabinetry. is it worth i would say no our norton sand paper provider in the paint shop has provided us with products just as good if not better for our applications and our wood shop uses it when they run out of the micro mesh and get the same results.this is just my opinion. but my shop does go through about 700,000.$ of sand paper per year

A knifemaker I spoke to, once, told me he 'cleans' out his used micromesh in a washingmachine and uses the pads over and over again.
So that way the may not be so expensive.

I have used micro mesh for several uses. Polish scratches out of plexiglass. Polish scratches on a watch face and stainless steel watch band. I also use it ALL THE TIME in my making of wooden and acrylic pens. Graet stuff for what I have used it for. I have not used it to polish a knife yet but I think it would work. Might have to put all lot of sweat and elbow grease into it but the results MIGHT be great? Oh yeah...... they do last quite a while because you can wash them out and still work great after.

Like the others said, it's reuseable (the grit is held in a "rubber" matrix & so doesn't just flake off like "normal wet & dry does)

Go for it, I have it in grits from 800 - 4000
