For those that use Mircopur tabs, is it me or do sometimes do they have a chlorine taste and other times they have no taste?

I have never noticed a specific taste. I have noticed they will sometimes have a chemical smell to them.

My taste buds must be extra sensitive, I taste it also. Also taste a metallic flavor...anyway I crush up a Vitamin C tab and add to the water and stir after the water has been purified. That really helps with hiding bad flavors from the Chlorine and Iodine and Micropur tabs.

I only notice the smell sometimes when I use them, but never the smell. Iodine on the other hand I definitly notice the taste, so I also use chewable vitamin C to help it go down.

The more material, sediment or organic, that you have in the water the less smell or taste there will be. It is kinda funny but the cleanest water leaves the worst taste. Try a MicroPur tab in tap water to see what I mean.

Only in a blister pack. The tablets need to be in the water within seconds of being exposed to air. I use Katadyn MicroPur or Aquamira. Same stuff.

Now that I think about it I see (taste) the pattern. I used one Tuesday and the water was extremely clean and it had a strong taste which made me bring it up. I have been using them for a couple years now and never put that together, but knew sometimes they had a taste, sometimes they did not.
