Microtech Bali-Song NEWS and pics of Microtech

Now that's the kind of TECH I'm talkin about!!

I'd much rather get my radiation from over bali use than by staring into my TV or over cell-phone use!!

OK, you've sold me, I'll have to get on that list as soon as it comes out!!

I'm probably not reading it correctly, but does this mean it'll lock up when you do throws? because that'd just suck

OK I should of thought about my post. Everything past Blade_420 is BS

Darth,

No it will not lock up in throws

It will follow you around the room like the Phurba dagger in the movie "The Shadow".

I knew it was BS as soon as I read it

The Phurba remark was funny as well.

What would be cool is if you could make it teleport from anywhere to your hand at the slightest thought

Well, maybe you could try to make a light-bali (like a lightsaber)

Or what about a shapeshifting blade? No more need to nag about replacing blades, just push a button and you have a kriss, or a tanto , or......

and for snipers, a laser dot out the front so you always know which direction your bali is pointing.

Just watch your eyes while flipping...

ZAP!!

Hey I got an idea.. Lets add a bayonet lug and flash suppressor so we can call it an assault balisong. Then someone can make extended round magazines for it, collapsable handles, and maybe a grenade launcher.

Hehehe...are we getting bad or what?

I'll take mine with an alarm and a kenwood in dash 6-disc CD changer. I actually saw a cheap balisong that a friend of mine who works at a paintshop repainted with leftover PPG harlequin paint. This stuff is really neat, it changes shades based on the angle of the light rays reflecting off of it. A tad gaudy but really way cool to spice up a junker. I suppose he'll have to turtlewax half his knives soon. Speaking of which, you can contact automotive painters and after they do a job, they could easily spray uoir knife with remaining paint and clearcoats. Im pretty sure it would outlast the pins on any knife you'd want to do this too. Also, the Eastwood company sells a home powdercoating kit that I used on my valvecovers and other dressy engine parts. a word of advice...buy a garage sale gas oven for the baking process like I did...that over will have a lingering odor for awhile.

Nate

PS Mike put me down for at least one.

I want two!!! Thanks Mr. Mike!

Nate,

I've worked in a body shop since I was 15 and I know for a fact that painting a Bali is NOT a good idea. It makes the handles smooth and slick and when you drop it, the paint begins to crack and flake off. Besides that, the PPG halequin, House of Kolors Kameleon, and Chromillusion are all VERY expensive, in the range of $40-$75 per Oz. To paint an entire car with it runs in the $3500 - $6000 range.

Poweder coating may work, but the heat required to use it would probably mess up the heat treating of the knife's blade.

car parts are way too blasted expensive. I can see where your right about painting a bali. Of course if someone wants me to paint one Ive got a small HVLP gun (have gun will travel). If I was going to get a custom one done and didnt want titanium or chrome steel handles, powdercoating would be good. But I cant afford custom so fantasy and financial reality not to mention the production aspect of some of my ideas has no bearing on my twisted imagination.

Nate

I've tried to use HVLP (high volume low pressure) guns before but it takes WAY too long to paint a car with one. I was using a high-end DeVilbiss and it was taking so long I had to get my supplier to take it back. Gimme a good old fashioned gravity feed anyday. I'd rather waste a little material and save time. I've got a jamb gun that's great for small things like handles and such.
