UPDATE: I just received an email informing me that they are ready to ship my knife back to me. I think an seven week wait is no problem at all especially as they serviced my knife for free. Communication was excellent throughout. While Microtech might be slower than other companies at getting repairs done, their customer service has been very good.

I have heard a lot of conflicting reports about Microtech's customer service. It just so happened that I had to send in a Mini Matrix for service. I emailed Microtech using the online form and got a response within the hour. Laurel Scafidi at Microtech was very helpful and prompt with responses. I sent the knife to them and they confirmed that they received it the day after, fine by me. In the email they say they cannot estimate repair times but I asked Ms. Scafidi if I would have my knife by June 2015. She said it's extremely likely, but not impossible for them to still have it by that date.... So far I am very pleased with their prompt communication. Honestly everything considered I would be happy to get my knife back by January.

I sent in a Microtech earlier this year, and I think I had it back in about 9 weeks.
The reason I sent it in was taken care of perfectly, so I was pleased.

Just received news that my knife is ready to ship back to me. Could not be happier with my experience with MT customer service. I asked them if I could have a spare clip for an old 1997 SOCOM model and they agreed to sell one to me for a very reasonable price. I think that is outstanding. Will post another update when the knife returns to me.
