This is my first post on bladeforums and I hate it’s such a tragic one. About 2years ago I had about 20 knives get stolen. Zt’s,benchmades,Emerson’s,hinderers, etc… there were 4 microtechs as well. A month ago I found one of my cousins had a microtech socom elite auto signature series of mine. It was the bronzed m390 version. It has been mistreated and has some spots of corrosion and is dull. My question is,how is microtechs customer service? If I contacted them and explained what happened do you guys think they might service my knife for me?

I just figured I would ask the knife community. I emailed microtech a little while ago and haven’t heard anything. I was just curious what you guys had to say on here. Years ago I ended up getting a bark river bravo one that had all the markings polished off the blade and their customer service was phenomenal. On the other hand I’ve had terrible experiences with spydercos customer service. Just asking.

They will definitely get it back to good working order for you. They probably can’t get rid of the rust or corrosion. I’d wait for a response on the email but also call Monday during business hours. Tell them the situation and they may have further instructions.

They also will charge extra biohazard fees for knives with your cousin’s blood on them, in case you used it on him after you recovered it from him.

Per Microtech, “For the safety of our employees, please DO NOT SEND in a knife that contains BLOOD. We are required to implement HAZMAT protocols for a $100 fee. Keep this in mind before sending your knife. Otherwise, it will be returned.”

So your cousin stole it all? If I were you I would have him pay for all of it...
He steals shit cause he’s broke so honestly the situation just taught me what I need to know about him and in the future I will act accordingly.

Not that its any of my business but lots of broke people are honest. He steals stuff because he's a morally deficient thief. You don't get to pick your family unfortunately....

As George Carlin said, "You can pick your nose, but you can't pick your family."

Or was it, "You can prick your finger, but you can't finger your pri...", Um never mind.
