Microtech DOC

I ordered one a few hours ago...why not? I love the look of the grind and if I happen to get a lemon...oh well! It will look cool in my collection!

I love the DOC. Its everything I wanted a strider to be. My only complaint is Im not a huge fan of aluminum. I would actually love to see them do a G10 or Carbon fiber handled version. I really am lusting for a titanium custom. Im surprised to hear of shoddy workmanship with them. I did hear the early versions had a clip from the dark recesses of hell but they reedesigned it and now they are comfortable. Glad you like yours. It looks very nice and I like the blue. Congrats.

Jill, nice Doc. That configuration was the one that I was staring over and over again at a gun show a while back. Fit and finish is fantastic and the blade grind was just as beautiful as it can be. It seems like the initial run was ok while the later runs were better. I remember handling the new Docs at Blade last year and every single one of them were stiff as they can be. I was unimpressed until I saw the blue one. If I had a little be more money or trade material, that knife would have came home with me, but oh well. It's definitely a nice show piece. Thanks for sharing. I will probably have to pick one up used at some point.

I did have my SnG on me that day and I must say the ergos are better than the SnG.

God I want one so bad.

Just hard to prioritize. It would be my most expensive knife purchase to date, by far. For about the same price, I've got my eye on a really nice guided rod sharpening system, but my lord, this is a nice lookin knife.

its an interesting knife but i cant justify it with all the other great knives that are available right now, and all the great ones that are going to be released soon.

jill not to get off topic, i was wondering if you have a benchmade 420 resistor in your collection ? i just got one of these and they are amazing.

One thing I just found out about the DOC, is the Chinese counterfeiters don't seem able, or wiling to duplicate it's blade grinds. I was looking on that big Chinese site at their efforts and while they did try to clone it, they didn't near match the grinds. They even have a fake set of bits cloned for the MT screws, for a very low price, compared to what they'll cost you from the USA.
