I only have the three Microtech knives for sale and that’s it. The 2nd baby is here, space has to be made for the little monster and some of Dad’s collectibles have to go. The knives have been described as honestly as I can. The pictures aren’t the greatest but they are the best my sad, little camera can produce. If you love the Microtech line of knives you’ll love these three knives. And, let it be said, if you receive these knives and do something stupid or illegal then you are fully responsible for the consequences. Thank you for reading.

I am only selling the knife. You are responsible for making sure that the particular knife is legal in your area and that you follow all of the laws regarding knives. Please know and understand your local laws and regulations BEFORE buying an item. By purchasing, the BUYER declares that he/she:
- Is legally entitled to purchase, own, carry and use a knife of this type, and is of legal AGE to do so.
- Is legally entitled to receive the item at the shipping address provided with payment.
- Agrees that the Seller assumes ABSOLUTELY NO LIABILITY for your purchase.

(This is only here to cover my ass if anything goes wrong. You wouldn’t begrudge me a little protection.)

Please read thoroughly!

Microtech Tachyon Butterfly Knife (Knife #2)
You are looking at a Microtech Tachyon Butterfly Knife. Microtech has teamed up with cutlery industry impresario Mike Turber of Wow Inc. to create this exceptional balisong knife. The Tachyon is considered by many butterfly knife enthusiasts to be the zenith of butterfly knife production. Technically this knife is used but it looks like it is brand new; it sat displayed with a number of other knives. The blade is marked "TACHYON 0158" and "11/2001” and “14-4CrMo" and has the MICROTECH circle logo - still has factory edge. Only pocket wear on the edge of the handles with some wear scratches near the latch. The joints and pivot points allow for a nice, but loose (in my opinion) action. This one does not have the original box or papers but does have the original belt pouch, as well as, a kydex sheath with a Tek-Lok attachment system. This beautiful knife is a must have for any incomplete Microtech or butterfly knife collection. This item has been stored away in a box, in a non-smoking home, in the back of a closet for years. I have tried to describe the item as accurately as possible and have provided photographs so that the buyer can see the exact item that they will be receiving. Please see pictures for condition. And if it needs to be said the ruler is unfortunately not included.

For sale only, no trades at this time please. I only accept PAYPAL as a form of payment. Price ($425.00) includes PayPal fee and USPS Priority Mail insured shipping with Delivery Confirmation. No outside U.S. shipping on this item. I will email buyer the confirmation # when shipped.

I've got a question for you, if I may......why is one pivot pin reversed? Is this how it came from Microtech?

I'm very interested in this knife, I sent you an email with info. please contact me ASAP.

I honestly never noticed that. Many years ago, it feels like a thousand, I picked up this knife at a gun show thinking that I would work hard and become a Bali-song flipping master. Well, life got in the way along with finishing my BA, getting my MA, birth of my little girl, and the birth of my son. Sadly, now my life is more concerned with keeping babies away from sharp things more than me buying new sharp things. As for the pivot pins, I have never changed them. I really don't know why they are like that or who changed them. The knife has been locked away in a box in a closet for years.
