I hate to say this but there are some tell tale signs of this being a clone. Wrong blood groove shape, screws are off and the V on the charging bar is way too close to the production date. Unless tony started cloning the clones I don't feel this knife is genuine. In fact I think the boxes were even changed and that is the Chinese box. Unique serial numbers mean nothing as the Chinese clones have started doing this. There is more wrong with that knife than there is right.

I absolutely concur and sent an email to appropriate parties earlier this AM...

GZB notified me about the details on the knife. Im not an expert on Microtech knives, and got this in a firearm trade (yes, I traded a valuable pistol for this worthless piece), and dont have the time to get into research heavily at this moment (plus being fairly devastated by this news), from a quick image search I see the difference in the groove, and trust the expert opinion of my friends at Bladeforums, so im not going through with the sale. The buyer contacted me shortly after GZB, and I have replied letting him know I am going to initiate a refund as quickly as possible. I am sorry to have wasted his time, and would like to thank the people who spotted the details. I should have caught it myself (since I consider myself enough of a knife expert to trade used knives), but if you could see the package, the knife, and the contents, you would understand bit better how I could have believed that I was trading for a legit product. Will confirm refund later, since im a little swamped at the moment.

Making time to research the authenticity and lineage of potentially counterfeit items is not a request, it is a necessity. Buyers need to be careful to also do their homework, read the rules. If you get burned despite being given advice, don't cry to us. We don't allow the sale of knock offs, as such we are done.
