Microtech Hawk

Talk to Microtech. Tbh, around here they have a terrible reputation for their warranty policy but you will probably find that they will offer to fix it for you, possibly for a fee.

Just asking the last time you used microtechs warranty? They may have a sorted past but over the last few yets there has been a change. Yes there is a wait time but so what. They answer the phone every time and provide excellent customer service now.

I've never used it.

In the last couple of years people have complained about their policy but I've never actually heard anyone complain about their actual service in practice which is why I suggested that the OP contact them. They'd seem to be the ones to fix it. That's what I would do.

Thanks for clarifying. I did not focus on the policy part, that makes more sense.

There were certainly reported problems in the past. Their are gbu threads on them. Reports are they have gotten better.

Their policy is a bit concerning. I doubt the op's knife is covered under warranty. That said, with a knife of that value, rarity, and importance I think it would be well worth the cost and time to give them a call and see if they will fix the thing.
