I sent a MT in for repair & they received it July 18. I received a tracking number yesterday saying the knife is on it's way back to me.
Not bad as far as I'm concerned.

I am feeling your pain Brancron, mines been there since last October. Mine's a Socom Delta in G-10.

Brancron, you sent in a Matrix; wasn't it?

RRG, what model did you send in that got repaired so fast?

That's what I was thinking.. I wonder if they're focusing more on OTF's and getting them cleaned up. Simpler fixes maybe?? Broken springs are a piece of cake..

Mine has a more complicated fix and was told the 2nd in command would have to do it. :barf:

Maybe because you're one of their long time dealers you received some special treatment. 😉

Mark, I doubt that had a whole lot to do with it since I gave them a little bad mouth about having to give them $15.00 to ship a broken new knife back
to me.

Bob, i meant no disrespect....personally i think there customer service is one of the worst these days...back when Mike Sweany was there i was getting new sears on side openers in record times,,,,during the transition from Vero Beach they lost a D/A side opener, after about a year Susan made it right.

It's pretty sad they had the audacity to charge you fifteen bucks.

Don't think that much into it...it was a fluke. The one constant with Microtech is they have never been consistent. 😀 but i still say Tony is second to none when it comes to grinding a blade or design.

Interesting.. Now what would RRG have to gain by saying MT's service timeline is down from 12 months?

It's all good tho, I'm working on buying a new Combat Troodon as we speak. I'm hooked, and there's no hope for me...
As for other people on the other hand waiting for service, maybe not be so hooked...

I am keeping an eye on the OTF I sent in for warranty repair. Future purchases will ride on how things go as this was my first purchase and unusable out of the box.

Grinding a blade sure. But as far as I know most of the really sought after M/T knives were not designed by Tony. Not even the ones that arent collabs. I agree though that customer service has always been lacking with the company though. I do think though that the major problem is how M/T makes knives in runs and doesnt revisit them for long periods of time. It usually means someone with a jacked up delta or matrix wont see them being fixed until they make more of those models. Not that its right.

OK, I have some experience with MT warranty.

It was less than 30 days for service and I just received it at my door in 35 days. Some of that was because of this weekend and they shipped on Thursday. Knife is completely done, the problem is solved, and I am happy.

I agree 100% with everything you said right there. Tony is an amazing artist. Service man? Not so much.

I just bought another one of his Marfione Customs. I just can't help myself.
