Hey there folks,

Based in the UK and a huge fan of American knife brands. Just took delivery of a second hand Delta and looking for some advice on getting a replacement main pivot bolt. Bought it thinking it was new and unused but it seems someone has slightly abused the torx head.

Any advice? Microtech are being a bit silent but, from what I gather, this is fairly typical. Any spares out there?

Would love to get this sorted as it really is the only issue. Here' are a couple of pics. Cheers guys!

Love the SOCOM Delta - great knife and I wish MT would get back to producing them. With regard to your pivot bolt, unfortunately you'd probably have to send it in to MT for service, as they're very protective of their proprietary hardware (I understand this is torx versus the normal Delta bit, but the bolt overall being proprietary). However based on the picture it looks like you still have plenty of grip to make adjustments. Were you wanting to replace it just for cosmetic reasons? If so, I understand as it's a very nice knife.

Yeah, it's by far the best in the collection! Getting quite picky with my collection lately and i guess it is only for cosmetic reasons. Tbh, if i had known it was like that when offered it, i don't think i would mind (as much) ...the knife doesn't 'need' anything adjusting or altering, it really is perfect for it's age. Just a pain-in-the-arse that this little bit is chewed.

Was kinda hoping that someone out there in knife land had a spare bolt.... MT haven't got back to me (was a longshot) so you kind people are my only option!

Sending it over will probably leave me knifless for months and a potential fortune in shipping. Tricky one...

Thanks all!

Still nothing from microtech. Any advice out there? Has anyone had any luck when phoning them for help?
