What do you think of these knives in the categories below + which is your favourite? Thanks
Tactical/10
EDC/10
Toughness/10
Value/10

the adams was way too heavy and thick for me, i sold mine. the zt 0301 is also too bulky for me, i have a 0300 in my collection but i dont carry it.. i had socom but i sold that one too, it was a nice knife but it just wasnt for me. i have an 0620 but i think im going to sell it because i got a 0630 that i like much better. ive never handled a 0560.

instead i would recommend a spyderco police 3, all black endura, or an emerson vindicator

Never been into spyderco knives really. I hate satin blades haha. Also the thing about the emerson the lock is okay at best. But, at that price point I expect higher quality and stronger. I cannot see how emersons warrant the price they ask for.

Just one thing, price is not equal to perceived strength in a lock. It's a little more complicated than that. I own all the knives you list above. THe strongest in my opinion are the Benchmade 275 Adamas and the ZT 0301.

I have owned all but the socom
The 0560 is a great knife just as useful as the 0300 but I do love the blade on the 300 even though its very heavy I still carried mine a lot I sold it to fund a grail but its on my buy again list.
adamas was,too bulky for me and I didn't like the edge geometry but it is crazy tough I like it the least of those listed
the 0560 and socom are gonna carry the best

Yeah, I've never understood paying that much for basically G-10 and a liner lock. For that kind of money, I want an Axis, compression or frame lock and titanium or carbon fiber (titanium liners don't count).

well any liner lock or framelock can slip regardless of how overbuilt or bulky the knife is, thats why i prefer lockback knives the most i feel they are more reliable. the lockback also provides the knife with a strong detent that will lessen the chance of the knife opening on accident. i would say a 50-60 dollar endura would be more reliable and tougher than most of those more expensive knives with a liner or framelock. ive had quite a few ZT knives with lockup issues and one had a lock that would slip and close with even very light pressure applied to the back of the blade.

emersons are overpriced, but i always buy used ones in excellent condition off ebay at much lower prices.

with emersons im not really paying so much for materials, im paying for design and a certain "feel" that only emersons really have. i love the way emersons feel in my hand and how they feel when i open and close them once they have been broken in and used for a while, i also use sandpaper to smooth the g10 handles. i just love the way the chunky g10 handles feel with smooth manual opening and i like hearing the liner lock click into place.

Socom Delta with G-10 scales. If you want "tough" get the tanto blade. If you want a pocket light saber, get the clip point blade. It's one of those knives that for under 300.00 I regret ever selling it.

I can only comment on the 0560 and 0300 since those are the only ones I own. The 0560 carries surprisingly well for a large knife. I like the 0300 more, and feel that it is a sturdier knife, plus the "thwack" sound of that big blade coming out is awesome. But, I carry my 0560 more because the 0300 is so thick.
