It is. I've done cut tests on the Socom with S35VN and 20CV, both out performed just about everything else I've tested. When your blade tapers down to .02 at the edge, it makes for a great performer!

Yeah it was just a short run with only a few hundred knives made if I remember correctly. The 20CVb versions are going for 400+ now. That steel in that knife just cuts for days and days without losing the fine edge. If you watch my video on it it's actually quite amazing how sharp that knife can stay through some hard cutting.

Coincidentally, I happened upon your channel a few hours ago while researching the Wicked Edge system and stumbled upon your rope cut tests. Pretty impressive results to say the least! Just out of curiosity... I saw you listed the XM-18 3.5" in 20CV as your favorite knife, what does it sell for? I'm guessing it's above and beyond the Socom in 20CV :rolleyes: I'm kind of starting to dig the XM-18 3.5" non-flipper version

Anywhere from 600-850. You can find them in the exchange for anywhere in that range. :)
