Just get a Cold Steel SR1 in Tanto or Clip and beat the hell out of it. It'll make a good construction knife you could dig and pry with cut and chop, no problems. I'll have to warn you though it's not a light knife, Stout rough and tough , It comes in S35vn with thick blade stock as well.
