I missed out on the last 2012 run of Socoms. When this current run started, my knife funds were dry but I redirected funds and was able to purchase a Socom auto. I was thinking that the manuals were gone and I better grab one, so I did. I really wanted a manual action so I kept looking for one and found one in stock so I grabbed a manual too. Now I have a auto and a manual Socom. I am thinking of selling the auto but my understanding is that they are more rare. Should I keep the auto or sell.

This isn't the stock market. Do you like the knife? Keep it. Do you just let it collect dust and barely fondle it? Sell it.

Well, uh

Which do you like better?
Do you collect? Is it worth having both?
Can / will you carry and use them?

I, personally, lost my taste for out-the-side autos because I don't like resistance when closing a knife. I can't really reconcile the notion of having $300+ just sitting around in a functionally useless form, so, -I- would sell the auto. Your preference, however, is what should dictate this decision.

“Should” statements are relative to outcomes.

What is your desired outcome?

After all that soul searching trouble
And now that you have em both,
You still wanna sell on the account of recouping with loss of interest?...
Never commit on a rebound ;-)

Low on funds, buy two knives. :D

Sell the other one and buy whiskey!

If you like it, keep it. If you don’t like it, sell it. If you are uncertain, hang onto it until you have your answer. It’s not like you have to feed it, or it takes up a lot of space.

I have a DA/SOCOM and it just sits. At some point, I'm going to have to empty the knives at the bottom of my gun safe and put them on the market. I collect users and only really want to keep the ones with sentimental value. It's a good knife, but if you're on here asking, you already know what you want to do...

IveI been debating on switching my atich out for an auto socom. How is the action on these socoms if you don't mind me asking

Its snappy but controllable. The button is requires a firm push so it cant be accidentally fired. I dont have anything to compare it to but I think its very well executed.
