Microtech using ATS-34 in 2013?

Saw a few Mini-Matrix with ATS-34 on a reputable dealer site recently; I thought it was a typo but I guess after reading this thread they are using ATS-33 after all.

Never had a problem with ATS34 either, always sharpen my users once a week regardless of the steel. Old school or the latest and greatest, every Friday they always need a few swipes on the sharp maker.

The Ultratech I received was actually Elmax, not ATS-34 as was listed on the page.

I have been using ATS-34 for many years now starting with the BM 800 as well. Then the BM 3550 and 9050, then some CUDA's quick actions (do you remember those).

Now I am EDCing a small fixed blade in ATS-34. When this steel has a good HT, I find it to be a very nice using steel. S30V and D-2 have been my recent go to steels until I started carring the small fixed blade in ATS-34, and I feel that I may be leaning towards the good ol' stuff 34.

I got a Mini Matrix a few months ago in ATS-34,it's been great so far. I also ordered a Whale Shark in S35vn and got CPM-D2 but I was happy about that one though.
