Do you think that with the current debacle over the sub-framelock that Microtech will be able to warranty sub-framelock knives, such as the socom delta? It seems like they tend to use the hardware from whenever they do a run of knives to repair the knives needing warranty work so if they stop producing them will they still be able to have parts for those knives and if so will work on said knives take longer than before? Asking because I recently purchased a socom delta but the lockbar is almost touching the presentation side. Its not been used really only carried by me and is an early 2012 production the lock isn't rocking nor is there any blade play so its not a huge deal. I'd just prefer lockup to be sooner.

I imagine like most Microtech's, you can send it to them and then just hope you get it back one day.

They hate doing warranty work so much I wouldn't be shocked if they used this as an excuse to essentially void the warranties.

I've heard that the customer service is bad as well but I've also heard it can be halfway decent. Nothing like ZT or Benchmade but sometimes return times of a couple weeks on some knives. Also heard that having a dealer ship and work with them directly can often get the best results, especially true for autos. Im mainly concerned about parts availability for the sub-framelock and the with the legalities surrounding the lawsuit over the locking mechanism
