Just like to tell you a bad story that got worse about Microtech's warranty & repair department.

I sent in 2 LCC's to have some work done to them. The 1st one needed the pivot fixed because of excessive play & the blade re-sharpened.
The 2nd one needed just a simple re-shapening.

What I got back was this: The 2nd knife doesn't appear to have been sharpened any & the 1st knife was in fact sharpened, but when they had taken the knife apart to fix the pivot......they tried to take the pocket clip off & the managed to get 2 out while the 3rd they stripped & left it in.
They sent the knife back to me with just 1 stripped screw holding the pocket clip in & the other 2 are missing!

They also told me that I would have it either Friday of last week or Monday of this week at the latest after having them for over 2 months!). Know what.....it's Thursday & I just received it today! I called them Tuesday after hours & left them a message asking them to call me back with the tracking number so I can find out where my package was. Wednesday came around & NO call & I was too busy to call them back. This morning I called up and asked where it was I was told that I would get a call back in 15-30 minutes. they had to call UPS to find out where it was.......sounded like they didn't know. NO call back until I called them an hour or so later. Turns out that they overnighted the knives to my dealer so he would get them today. Fine & dandy....but don't lie to me & tell me that I am getting them on this day & then wooops...overnight it so he won't be unhappy.....& then get them on another day. They just broke the last straw with me. Now I have to see what those bozo's are going to do about the F'D-UP screw & the 2 other missing screws.

Funny thing is......it had taken them only 2-2 1/2 months to screw everything up! SLOW, CARELESS & LIERS......man, who could ask for anytrhing more in customer service? :D

They will no longer get my business!

Oh well

I've heard of there being a lot of CS issues lately, some changes in the company ahppening. BTW, this will probably get moved to GB&U. :/

i called them one day to inquire about a piece of cord to replace the fob on my SOCOM elite (they use a peculier type thats hard to find, for me anyway) i figured they might send it for nothing, but was prepared to pay, they wanted $15 plus S&H for about a foot of cord worth maybe 25 cents imho, i mean $15 aint gonna make or break me, but it was the principle of the thing. i politely declined, found some cord like i needed at shomer-tec (100' for $8 plus S&H) and tied my fob. the individual i spoke with was very short with me, on the verge of being rude to boot, and was far from knowlegable about the product, let me tell ya, inquired about a makora and he didnt seem to know what it was lol, i think he just wanted to get rid of me and answer another phone imho, wasnt helpful at all.

that, on top of all the CS probs, make me shy away from MT, have been thinking of a makora fireant, but have heard of probs w/them requiring MT's CS, and have managed to live without it so far. too bad nobody makes a good OTF auto other then them. but probs with CS like the above case make me feel they just dont care, which isnt good in biz' imho. wish they would get there act together, they make very good knives.

still have my LCC's and my brend SOCOM elite(and will for ever probably), but dont carry them much, and dont plan on getting any more MT's in the foreseeable future, certainly at least until they straighten out there CS dept (if they ever do) they need to consider how imp CS is, especially when ya are in the high range in price in your market imho, i mean w/that kinda price most expect good CS, i know i do.
