Mid-size EDC folder .

The ZT is a very nice folder, and is considered overbuilt by many people. if you like that, then go for it. The grip has the tendency to make people fell like the handle is cheap, but you might like it, I don't know. The paramilitary gets a lot of love on this forum, and from all that I read, it deserves it.

as far as warranty, Spyderco is pretty good, as well as benchmade, but ZT is straight up amazing. they will send you small parts no questions asked, and will take care of you if you break the blade or handle, which I doubt.

It is up to you to make the decision, but remember that you will most likely be able to trade or sell the knife for almost as much as you paid for it if you really don't like it.

Thanks, I might go for the 0350. I was also looking at the Kershaw Rake, but I am wondering if the joint between the two steels is a major weakspot.

From everything I've read the point where the steel's meet is just as strong if not stronger than the rest of the knife.

The rake is badass if you go that route. The assist on the rake has the most "pop" I've ever seen.

The Para 2 would be my choice. I handled all three and ended up buying the Para 2.

The Griptilian's handle felt a bit cheap and I already had an axis lock BM 710 and wanted something different. While the axis lock is great, I prefer the compression lock on the Para 2. I find it easier to operate (pinching the lock between my middle finger and thumb) than sliding the axis lock backwards. For me, the Zero Tolerance is too heavy and overbuilt for my EDC blade. I also do not like to carry an assisted opening knife. The Para 2 opens very quickly, slices great, and the ergonomics are superb. It doesn't have the strongest tip, but this is a good thing since I use it instead of looking for my x-acto, but I wouldn't use it to pry something open. Good luck on your decision.

i agree semi with the handle issue, it doesn't feel cheap to me it feels like smoother g10 with always has that feel to it.

So I went to the a different store, and tried the Griptilian and Barrage. I prefered the Barrage for deployment because it was easier to use, but the grip on the Barrage was awful, whereas the Griptilian was very comfortable to hold. Would practice make the Griptilian as easy to open as an assisted? Would a Spyderhole work better than a thumbstud, and be as easy as assisted? If not, than I shall purchase an assisted, probably the ZT 0350.

It sounds like you're really wanting the ZT, Noreat. Just go for it. By many accounts (I don't own any, personally) they are great knives made by a great company. If you decide you don't like it after using it for a while, I'm sure you will have no trouble selling or trading it for something else.

I noticed that Amazon is selling the 0350 for $98.83, while Blade HQ is selling for $140.00. Is it possible that Amazon is selling the defective models from Kershaw? The seller is Amazon.com itself.

I bought mine from amazon, and it turned out great unopened in the original box. Plus amazon has a great warranty.

i bought my zt 0300 from amazon, for 174.99 and at the time bladeHQ wanted 259.99. my shipped with no defects and no issues since obtaining the knife

I have one last question. Can I safely mail a 0350 to a P.O. Box without having it confiscated?

Thanks everyone for your help! A ZT 0350 is an the way!:D

Great choice.... You will not be disappointed....I love mine....

Is that a 0301? What ever it is, it surely is good-looking. I may have to become a ZT collector.:)

Kershaw has a MAP for dealers. You just happen to find one that chooses not to go by it.

Good choice on the ZT, I looked at it at a retailer. Great fit and finish, but a bit too large for my taste. Let us know how it goes with your new purchase.

You will not be dissapointed with the 0350. With all my ZT/Kershaw assisted openers I have an extra torsion spring. Kershaw has a great warranty/customer service.
