i love this knife. forgot my gloves but that didn't matter with such a comfy handle. and the blade bites really deep.

Those pics of that Euro mojo make me feel all funny inside:p I love the mojo's and good on you for using yours!

and here's where i learn to be really careful with sharp objects. i was continuing to clear the path and swung a little too far. kinda stabbed into my leg and cut it a little bit too. it was kind of deep.

here's where i learn to pack survival gear . . . . ended up using my last piece of kleenex and my belt for a makeshift bandage. i really didn't have anything else. didn't work as bad as i thought it would at least

took about 4 hours to hobble back down the mountain. bleeding stopped about an hour down. good sign i suppose.

WOW, you really don't wanna be chopping apart your leg when you're four hours away from civilization!

gGod job on the makeshift bandage (and awesome pics too)!

Fantastic pics, brother. I WISH there was some land like that near me. As it is, all I have is swampy flatlands (when I'm not surrounded for miles and miles by nothing but flat asphalt and lots of buildings). Sorry to hear you hurt yourself. Lessons learned, though. Stuff that pack right for the next time.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing

And that snow looks mighty this time of year:thumbup:

Pack a small first aid kit when you get out that far.

Man, great pics! Love that knife! If I had only been a couple hours quicker!!?!???!?!

it would have only taken about 1-1.5 hours to get back had i not been hobbling and trying not to make it start bleeding again. only took 2 hours to get that far. the climb sucked though. going down a steep, narrow, rock strewn trail putting most of the weight on one leg is slow and not fun . . . .

Nice little hike, gotta love all that underbrush on this side of the Cascades. :thumbdn: You were so busy whacking it out of the way that you forgot your knee was along :D

For those of you who don't know, those aren't shadows. That's just a dense mat of ferns, nettles, and moss blocking out the light.

And that is one sweet knife. :)

yeah, the trail is pretty nice once you get around to the other side of the mountain and away from the roaring of vehicles on I-90

great pics!
i carry a small first aid kit i put together with just the usual stuff and a maxi-pad in case of a serious cut. don't laugh.
any body else do this?
