i like the luksusova. tastes better than any of em to me. i can usually find it cheaper than crappy ol' absolut.
as far as $30- $40 scotch, i dunno. i don't like any of em in that range. but i don't like scotch enough to do research. i like the blends rather than the single malts, and only if i'm hanging out smoking good cigars with friends, maybe playing cards i'll get a bottle of the johnny gold or MAYBE blue if i had a good week. gold is i think about $75, blue $175.
some of the fellas around here know scotch and i'm sure can help you better'n me.

Be careful out there. A couple of hours away from civilization is not a good place to become pegleg.
 
Nice snow shots. It actually snowed here in Spokane yesterday morning. Freaking snow on the 10 th of June.........and I am not talking about just in the mountains, Snow in Spokane city proper.

unfortunately i didn't get to take the FSH like i said i would. had to sell that because i needed the money. i would note that I would probably be able to chop better with the euro handled mofo better than with the FSH because it doesn't move around in my hand nearly as much. and i would need gloves with the fusion handle after a little while

Hmm... that is quite interesting that the Fusion Handles do not work as well for you. But hey...we are all different. I really like the EU style handles and the Fusion handles.

But you are certainly correct. Handle fit will play a very significant role in the performance of the knife.
 
You guys should be limited to carrying those fixed blades that you can carry bandages in the handle. :p
