Middle Eastern Spear

I was fortunate enough to see the blades in San Antonio and the final product in Boston. Josh is really executing some fine and creative pieces. This is an outstanding example, very nice all around. Some lucky collector went home happy.

This whole concept was wild and pretty amazing

I got to handle it in Boston as a "whole" spear and also in pieces - the workmanship is outstanding

I don't think there was another piece at the show which drew as much attention as Josh's "Arabian Crescent Moon Spear." It was a daring, even risky, thing to create and I admire the fact that Josh is the kind of maker who is not afraid to push the limits and boundaries. The new owner undoubtedly shares the same adventurous trait. Like they say, "Takes one to know one."

Eric Eggly did a terrific job photographing this special piece, as if he was also inspired by it.

As was stated above, keep it up Josh - keep being different. Build it, and they will come.

Thanks so much guys. Buddy, it was a big risk making it and taking it to a show like Boston but I thought , "Why Not?" I am really happy I took that risk. I hope more makers will look at the historical weapons out there and bring them to life with the current techniques.

Again thanks so much for the compliments. I was very excited to show this one off!
