Middle-of-the-night online knife purchase while impaired, that you regretted the next morning?

No.........can't blame alcohol.
Quit drinking in 1987.
Have few regrets on buying.
They were newby mistakes and nothing serious.

Sure thing, Corky.

I enjoy the research involved in picking out a knife. Way more fun than the actual buying. So no impulse buys for me.

Last week while drinking my normal bourbon I decided I’d buy my first auto, a Gerber 06, after watching a YouTube Video. It arrived in the mail and I’m not too keen on it. Now that I’ve researched more about it it seems like it is a pretty lackluster knife. It will sit in my gun safe and probably will see little to no carry.

I am guilty of this...I typically purchase mictrotech OTF when not drinking. One night I took a muscle relaxant for my back and one drink...5 days later 4 Chinese copies of OTF knives showed up at my door....I actually posted on what people thought of Venom OTF. LMAO

I had a couple imperial IPAs and then a few glasses of WT 101 last night. The next logical step was to order a Benchmade 51 balisong before going to bed. Hadn’t thought of buying a knife in months. It just popped into my head from out of nowhere. I don’t regret it though. Sometimes you just have to get what you want.

Kind of... years ago I had a horrible rotator cuff surgery. I was forced to try to sleep in a recliner and the pain was unbearable. I was taking strong pain and sleeping meds (think the kind where people drive across the state and don't know how they got there). I awakened in the middle of the night and saw Survive Knives had GSO 4.1 seconds available for like $110, with sheath. I bought one and the next day around noon, I remembered what I did and was like "WTH?"

It didn't take long to be glad I made that impaired purchase:D!

I've come close a few times but never actually pulled the trigger.

I've drunk-shopped before but I've only ever bought things I wanted. Fortunately alcohol impairs my frugality....not my taste.
