So, I have had this beautiful piece of wood laying around my ship for years and it was too small for the knives I make. It has so much figure in it that I just couldn't throw it away. The answer was to make a knife that fit the wood.
Mostly stock removal from 3/32 inch 52100 steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain
Flat grind with a mat finish and forged texture on the flats
figured maldrone handle
Overall length: 6 3/4 inches
Blade: 3 inches (2 15/16 to be exact for those folks that are limited to a blade less than 3 inches)
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
