Got a midnight blue as well-
Vaguely reminds me of an oversized 511. "511XL" if you will. (of course some obvious differences (tip/spine profile, fuller, etc) but thats what I thought of when I picked it up)
and I happen to have a matching 511 to go along with it.

Yes in some ways it is somewhat comparable, but they feel like totally different knives.

My 511s handles are ok, but they don't provide the better balance that the DS possesses.

I like the 511 for what it is, but the DS is something special whereas the 511 is just a good knife.
