I have black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coated HideAways custom ground by Justin Gingrich of Ranger Knives available in several sizes. This is the first time that I've been able to make enough extras so that people don't have to wait. This was also the batch where I cut the extra smaller-sized HideAways for a Christmas time "buy your spouse a hideaway" special, and then when Rob died I was too bummed to post about it. I'll put sizes available, and how to measure in the first reply. DLC hideaways are $149, +$10 over the $139 regular S30V HideAway price.

To get one, click on 1 of the first 2 choices at the top of my "I want one" page. Put your hideaway size in the white box. Click Add, then add the sheaths you would like to have made. The bikini sheath comes free with every HideAway.

The sizes in the next reply are what's available.

How to measure your HIdeAway size
Your HideAway size is the circumference of your first 2 fingers (trigger and middle), held together and straight out.

The fancy measurer is on my website. Or, you can do the same thing by cutting out a narrow 1/2" strip of paper. Just measure the distance around your first 2 fingers (trigger and middle finger) where you would wear rings. Or around your knuckles if they are bigger. Mark it on the paper, and then measure the paper with a ruler.

You are using the narrow strip of paper like a measuring tape. Only it is actually better, because the made-in-China measuring tapes (which they all are) stretch and give incredibly inaccurate results. The Paper and ruler method is much better. Some people put a smidge of Scotch tape on one end of the paper and on their fingers to hold it there as they wrap and measure. Please do not send me HideAway sizes taken with a measuring tape.

Neither add slack nor tighten it. It should be comfortably snug. It is what it is :) . Please double check or you will be in trouble with me.

they look marvelous! The electron microscope pic of the DLC structure looks like the Ross Ice Shelf!
