I made this one with a black theme. The only places that aren't black are the spacer and the outer layer steel (and of course, the pin)
The blade is my san mai damascus. The core steel is Aldo's 1084, and the outer layer is a low carbon, high nickel alloy. Along the spine, you can see the three layer sandwich pattern well. I use this style because it replicates the lines of a hamon, and allows me to fully harden the blade (although the spine has had the hardness drawn out a bit)
The handle is black canvas micarta, with a bone colored phenolic spacer along with a black linen micarta guard. It is contoured well and fits in my hand perfectly.
The sheath is Wickett and Craig's 8-9 oz leather. It has been hand stitched and tooled. The knife fits snugly and draws easily with just a sharp tug.
Dimensions
Blade - 5 5/16" tip to guard
OAL - 10 3/4"
Price - $275 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
Thanks for looking.
