Wanted to jump in and add that I have G10 liners on mine and even though they are thin they made all the difference in the world:

The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
After you replied to my thread, I was looking around at tweener stuff and found this thread, and I have held both a sixteen and a seventeen, and I really like the look of the 17 more, does the clip take away or add any function for any of you guys?
Best Knife Ever is a tall order indeed.
I will say my 16, with the fattened-up mycarta scales, is my go-to when I know I've got some work to do.
The BK17 is a saber BK16 that has been clipped. If you get a kydex sheath for a saber 16 the 17 will fit it no problems. It is a fantastic knife, and if you need that extra bit of point, it is as perfect as I think you can find in the Becker lineup.
Like I said, my opinion, but among all my knives I own, all of them (which isn't a terribly small number) and all the knives I have handled (which thanks to Uncle Weirdbeard's almost limitless supply of other peoples knives is pretty significant) the 16 is that one knife for me. For most utility, easiest use, most comfortable, everything, the BK16 is it for me.

+1 :thumbup:My BK9 is like that. I can't help but take it with me, no matter what the task or what other knives are also going.
A question for all you 16 lovers. I've seen some criticism about the width of the handle, close to the blade. What's your take on this particular criticism? It's been the thing that's holding me back from getting one.
Doc
I wish I had gotten a saber ground BK-16 to try...
