Mike Alsdorf Knives

Just sitting here and dreaming, Oh if I just had the money.

Got to CE & CF this beauty Thursday, it had a stop by my office before headed to its new home. This one knife is one of the finest knives I have ever seen from Mike, It is just perfect, F&F is PERFECT, can't say enough good things about this one, I will say something, Mike has learned to nail the peanut. I have some other designs by him and this one tops them all.

I hope that other peanut that was available, but is gone now, will show up in one of our forum members collection.

It's tough isn't it? I've probably looked at the mammoth ivory peanut for sale on his website about 100 times. I have to a be a good boy and stay within my ever-shrinking knife budget.

I talked with Mike this PM, he is going to post that ivory peanut in the knife maker sale forum. Perhaps tonight.

The two bladed peanut is gone or going to a new home.:p

Thanks for the heads up, they are from the social group of Mikes Knives, I thought they would show, and they did for me, but they must be in my cache. Will try to find originals
Thanks,
Jim

Well, I'm afraid I may now be completely ruined:D.
I have always owned slipjoints. Ever since my first Imperial MOP Jack knife when I was about 11 years old, I have never been without pocket knife. Tonight I came home to find my first custom/handmade knife arrived today. I chose Mike to make it for a combination of reasons, size, price, available pattern etc.. but most af all his knives get such great reviews from the people in this forum who own them.
I don't own any other customs to compare it to, and I have never really handled any that come to mind, so I can only compare it to production knives I own/owned. Well there is no comparison, so I will let these pics speak for me for now. Until I can swing another custom;).
This knife is about the same size (3 1/8" closed) as my Case CV Sway Back. It has 1/2 stops and the springs are flush (really flush) in all three positions. Stag is my favorite handle material and these are really nice. The blades are polished, sharp, and nicely centered.
Thanks Mike for making my first custom a great experience!

Specs:
Teardrop Jack Traditional
Amber Jigged Stag
416 S.S. Liners and Bolsters
CPM 154 Clip and Pen
S.S. Fittings
