I’ve wanted one of Mike’s knives for some time and this long and lean fighter with beautiful amber stag handle fit the bill nicely. Mike created this fighter with his rendition of Bill Moran’s ST-24 blade as homage to Bill. I’m not sure what he calls this Damascus pattern, but it’s got a lot of sheen and is kind of mesmerizing. It’s very fast in hand, especially for a 15-1/2” fighter.

Specifications:

Handle: Premium Amber Sambar Stag
BL= 10-1/2”
OAL= 15-1/2”
Guard: Damascus Sculptured “S” Guard
Butt Cap: Filed Damascus Balances @ Guard

Let us know what you think, and as also thank you for your views and participation.

I held this one in my hand at the Arkansas Show - and it is a beauty !!!!

Great balance, great material and great flow, with impeccable fit and finish :thumbup:

Definite echoes of the Moran original, but with Mike Jr flair -

Enjoy it Kevin :D

That's REAL nice.

Jr. is knocking the ball out of the park these days.....impressing the hell out me, that's for sure. Might have to get a knife from him one of these days, if he keeps it up.

I like the guard most probably, it's a unique look.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Mike's doing some great work. The pattern and execution on guard and butt is particularly nice, and that's a really cool knife over-all.

Good get, Kevin!

Like Steven said, that guard impresses me. Nice looking knife.

Great looking Fighter, love that dip the clip does.
Needle sharp pointy as well.
Great stag, killer damascus !
Congrats, Kevin !

Very nice acquisition, Kevin. I am a big fan of Mike's knives.

That stag looks to be damn near perfect, the proportions appear right, and I like that guard even though I don't generally like S-guards.

But what really stands out to me are how well executed and uniform that cool Damascus pattern is, and that ridiculously cool butt cap.

That particular blade profile is not my cup of tea, but that is nothing but a personal preference.

Really a top notch knife.

I love this, and was drooling over a crappy picture of it Mike sent me before the show. The knife landed in good hands. Beautiful work Mike, and congrats Kevin!

Saw this one at Little Rock. My favorite in the room. Moran influance, Mike Ruth jr style.

Kevin, congrats on scoring this beauty. Mike is turning out some stunning work. There are so many great details that make the whole piece outstanding.

Whoa! That is fantastic. Loving all of it, the guard gives it a whole other dimension. Great work Mike!
Cheers Keith

Sweet!!! I really like the fittings. I made one in that pattern for Gembloux and it flew off he table. Note to self.......make another one. ;)
